A letter of commitment of Nikolaos Michaloliakos to the International Organizations regarding the annulment of the agreement with Skopje from Golden Dawn

The People’s Association-Golden Dawn, taking into account the historical duty towards Nation, Homeland and Greek People and being in the first line for the defense of our Macedonia, proceeded this day in actions that put everyone in front of their responsibilities.
Specifically, the Leader of Golden Dawn, Nikolaos G. Michaloliakos, representing the overwhelming majority of Greeks opposed to the selling out of our Macedonia from the coalition SYRIZA-ANEL, sent at Tuesday, 19 of June 2018, a letter to UN, the European Commission, NATO, European Parliament and the governments of Germany, Italy, France and Skopje, where he states that if after the elections Greek People vote a government of Golden Dawn, this government shall not accept nor be engaged by the agreement for Skopje, signed by the ministers of Foreign Affairs of Greece and Skopje, N. Kotzias and Nikola Dimitrov at the 17th of June 2018 at Prespa.
With this actions, the Leader of Golden Dawn proves who really resists towards the selling out of Macedonia and in addition, opposes any propaganda aiming to the disorientation of the common opinion and the hiding of the political powers that silence towards this treason!
Main points of the letter:
STATEMENT OF N.G. MICHALOLIAKOS
Secretary General of the People's Association-Golden Dawn
As the leader of the third political power in Greece, as this result was formed in the last national elections of September 2015, I expressly state that if, after the national elections in the country, the electorate elects a government under the Golden Dawn, this government, neither will it accept nor will be bound by the agreement concerning the Skopje issue under the name "Final agreement on the settlement of disputes described in United Nations Security Council Resolutions 817 (1993) and 845 (1993), the termination of Interim Accord of 1995 and the consolidation of the Strategic Partnership between Greece and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" which was signed on 17 June 2018 in lake Prespa, by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Greece and of Skopje, N. Kotzias and Nikola Dimitrov respectively.
The current Constitution of Greece establishes in the Article 1 that "2. Popular sovereignty is the foundation of government. 3. All powers derive from the People and exist for the People and the Nation; they shall be exercised as specified by the Constitution."
The content of the signed agreement, beyond the rendering of the sacred name "Macedonia" in the Skopje state, recognizes to the Skopje people the "Macedonian" ethnicity / identity and the "Macedonian" language, which are the root of the Skopje irredentism, resulting again the Skopje irredentism to being maintained and encouraged and also the creeping territorial and expansive attitudes on the part of the neighboring country. For these reasons the agreement contradicts the fundamental principles of the international legal order, namely the respect for state sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Furthermore, the manipulation of the shameful agreement is a constitutional and state deflection, in substance, if not technically too.
- The attitude of the overwhelming majority of Greeks, who through massive and peaceful rallies in Thessalonica, Athens and many cities of Greek territory expressed their opposition to the content of the agreement, is skipped and ignored.
- Our Constitution provides in Article 44, paragraph 2 the notice of referendum on "crucial national matters" as an indication of popular will. Since the source of all powers is the People (Art. 1 C) and the foundation of the regime is the popular sovereignty, it is clear that the People should have a leading role in a crucial matter concerning the state sovereignty and territorial integrity. The government refuses to hold a referendum in Greece (as it will the neighboring state), in order that the Greek people decide if they want the concession of the name "Macedonia" for the name of the neighboring state. Therefore, the Greek People lacks the constitutionally guaranteed right to decide on the issue of the national sovereign rights of our country.
For these reasons, the signed agreement on the Skopje issue, violates the people's sovereignty and the Constitution of the country, and is contrary to the national interest and the national sovereign rights, and I consider it an obligation to the Greek People and the Nation to expressly state that, if after the national elections in the country the electorate elects a government under the Golden Dawn, this government, neither will accept nor be bound by the agreement on Skopje issue.
Sincerely,
N. G. Michaloliakos
Secretary General of the People's Association-Golden Dawn
