Turkey's cunning plans and Athens' accomplices

Of course Turkey knows that it cannot claim Crete, but it claims it ,to take half of the Aegean Sea...

Turkish diplomacy has both a national strategy and a plan. They are asking for 10 to get five! The problem is that the Government of Athens has decided to draw us with the blessings of the US in negotiations with Turkey, which will result in a reduction in our national sovereignty.

Turkey, therefore, goes so far as to claim that it claims three quarters of Crete and that only a quarter belongs to Greece and "coincidentally" this quarter is the part of Crete in which the American base is located!

The Turkish claim: The Turks claim that the London agreement of 30 May 1913 granted three-quarters of Crete to Turkey, but Greece in violation of the treaties "occupied" the entire island!

Citing the circumstances of 30 May 1913 in London (Articles 4 and 5) and 24 July of Lausanne, they say that:

a. Nowhere in the Treaty of London does it specify that Crete is granted to Greece.

*In Greece only 1/4 of Crete is given, while the 14 islands and rocky islets around Crete remained under the rule of the Ottoman Empire.

Since 2004 Greece has occupied three islands: These are Gavdos, Gaidouronissi and Koufonissi.

b. After the Treaty of Lausanne, Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro renounced their rights in Crete, so 3/4 of the island automatically became part of Turkey .

c. Thus Greece now illegally owns the remaining 3/4 of Crete as well as the adjacent islands and islets. It should immediately hand them over to Turkey and remove their military units, their military facilities and all their S-300 missiles which apparently has been illegally installed there since 1999."
