Mayor of Kalymnos: "Not only the national airspace , but also the Hellenic territorial waters have become colander"

The fifth vessel of the Turkish coast Guard not only attacked and tried to ram into local Hellenic fishing boats in the area of Imia in order to force them to leave, but was also involved in a "Naval battle" with a port ship which rushed to help the local fishermen.

A small naval battle unfolded as stated by the mayor of Kalymnos : In front of my eyes between a ship of the Hellenic coastguard and a Turkish vessel that was aggressively harassing local fishermen in the area of Imia .

As he described while speaking in an interview to ANT1, Mayor Dimitris Diakomichalis the incident occurred during his visit to Kalolymno to wish the soldiers good holidays.

As stated "Not only the national airspace space, but also the Hellenic territorial waters have become colander".

P.S.: This statement by the mayor of Kalymnos is devoted to all those who at pre election who where campaigning that New Democracy, will have a different policy towards Turkey from that of the SYRIZA government .

With the "patriotic" politics of the current government of New Democracy , the Turks  unfortunately, constantly violate national airspace and our territorial waters!
