The reactions from the residents from the Hellenic islands of Lesvos and Chios against the construction of the new "shelters for migrants and refugees" on the islands culminate.
Throughout the day, there are incidents between residents and police forces at the sites where these structures are being prepared to be constructed.

According to stonisi.gr website, new clashes are taking place in Karavas, Lesvos. Police forces use extensive tear gas (chemicals) on gathered civilians that are there to protest and as you will see in the video we quote, the vehicle "Aiantas" was used, which fires high pressure water at the protesters. We're talking about suppression measures that the police very rarely use , not even against the anarchist communists whenever they burn the town centre of Athens!

In Chios, battles continue in difficult places near the site where the new hospitality structure is planned to be built. Residents in their attempt to move up to the disputed area were confronted by the riot police , who proceeded with extensive force and use of tear gas (chemicals) to force them back .

Let’s not forget!... It was October 2016 that the Hellenic island of  Mytilene was Nominated to be awarded with a noble peace prize , yet in these past couple of days a number of protesters have been arrested and many have been beaten , all for protesting there democratic rites to protect there homeland from these illegal immigrants that are destroying there island .
